Time

Its crazy to me that Thanksgiving is this week.  I mean come on. What the heck? Where did it come from? Seriously.

The last real big thing that happened in my life was graduation. When I say big thing I mean like where I had a life.  Not that I don't have a life. Its just been different after college.  My life is over.  Correction, my college life is over.  I can't sleep in and skip a class, just because I want to.  I have to actually do things with my life.

I've been a full time nanny since August.  At first I thought I would have this job for a month and get another job.  I would just help out this family, while their parents worked on their business.  Make a few bucks then move some place and start my new job. Be a real adult.  However, that month passed and nothing, no job or any prospects.  I felt like I was just being a waste, not doing any good in the world.  I felt like I was disappointing Jesus.  That he gave me some great task and I just got up to watch a two kids then went home and did the same thing the next day.  I wasn't doing anything substantial.

Those thoughts were all lies. I can't say the exact point where I was like I AM doing something, or if my mindset has fully change. But. In the long run I do know that, I am helping out these parents as I go five days a week to watch their children.  And through these last three months of working I've learned to be more content and just trust Jesus, even as I'm impatient.  I've don't have these things down, but I see the importance of them. I have my good and my bad days, just like everybody else.  All I can do is keep putting my best foot forward and see where Jesus leads me next.
