Be still.

So, I've been ok with life after graduation, but I haven't been the most happy/content person.  I've kinda just been doing my babysitting job and trying to stay positive.  Which wasn't the best outlook I could have had during it all.  Thankfully Jesus loves me and has blessed me with great friends and spiritual influences who are willing to speak His truth into my life.

I realized a few things today/was given the encouragement to not settle:

1. Jesus is always doing something in my life.  and. I know this, but at the same time I constantly think about what Jesus has planed for me in the future or what I could be doing.

2. I'm way too impatient.  I'm ok with this and use it as excuses, but I shouldn't.

3. I just need to trust Jesus in all of this.  He has something awesome planned for me, cause he didn't give me all of these passions for no reasons.  And once he gives me my next big step, I'm going to enjoy it so much I won't have time to learn all these lessons He can teach me know, while I'm waiting and learning.

4.  Things will be learned while I'm in this stage of life.  I'm not entirely sure what they are, but I need to learn to just sit and be with Jesus.

5. All I can do now is be patient and hold my passions to Jesus.  I don't know what I'm doing with my life, but He has it all figured out and will show me when its time.

6. Oh. And that Jesus has provided me with community all over.  Following Him isn't about me being alone.

Wedding Dress

Too many times I get caught up with life and don't spend enough time with the one who really only counts.
Sometimes I can't sleep.
This is when I take the time to really listen to Jesus.
And I have just as many pathetic excuses as the next guy.
But I shouldn't.
I should give my all.
Not just going along with the flow.
Jesus has given it all to me.
I don't need anything from this world.
I'm so undeserving of His love.
Yet he's still there with his arms open wide for me.
Thank you Jesus for you grace.

Derek Webb's "Wedding Dress" says it a lot better then me.
